Are we Humans?

चंडी देवी का मन्दिर
Yesteryear (2007), I had an opportunity to got to Haridwar, the epic city for Hindu civilization. It was a great time for me as I was there for the first time in my life. Also what attracted me of that very city was its natural outlook, the as clean a water of Ganga, the mountains full of greeneries, and also the temperature of that city.

हर की पौडी
I got to go to the two temples, the Chandi Devi & the Mansa Devi Temples on the top of two mountains. It was a tiring experience, may be due to the slope of the mountain which was steeper than another religious place, Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu.
But there is a memory that is unforgettable, since it shows the inhumanity of human beings. Since the mountains are full of greeneries, they are full of the animals and bird, which reside on trees, especially with monkeys. These creatures often interrupt the visitors for the food material they are carrying as the prasad (Blessings) of the goddesses. This is a normal happening for most of the religious places full of greeneries.

मनसा देवी का मन्दिर
What troubled me the most was the behavior of some of the visitors, who were throwing stone pebbles on these creatures।I tried to convince them not to do such things, as these creatures are limited to such green areas only, but they countered with the argument that if they will not throw pebbles on these they will become devoid of the blessings of the deity , they are carrying with them।

Is it the right cause to harm some lively creature?
Also considering the fact that these creatures are limited to such areas only due to concretization of the towns. And also thinking from the religious point of view, the blessings give their true worth, if it is distributed to as many living beings as possible.
Also considering that the Religion teaches us to see deity in all living creatures and treat them fairly.
Aren't We getting nonreligious?
Aren't we getting inhuman to these creatures?
